-If state legislature determines a law unconstitutional they can declare it null and void in those states
1800 Election
Adams and Jefferson again
-Bad blood between them due to the Kentucky resolution
D. Republicans run 2 candidates because of the dislike for Adams
-Aaron Burr and Jefferson win but its a tie
-House of Representatives is still under Federalist control and they get to decide who is president (thinking of picking Burr because they don’t like Jefferson)
Alexander Hamilton steps in and says don’t do it
