What do Jews believe about the nature of God?
That God is the creator of the universe and created the universe out of nothing. They believe God created the world according to his plan and as he is omniscient we should not question it.
Why do Jews believe God is the creator of the universe?
Jews get this belief from the opening lines of the torah where it states that “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”
How do Jews remember God as the creator ?
Celebrating God as the creator is an important part of Judaism and in order to do so Jews celebrate the festival of Shabbat every week. Just as God rested on the seventh day of creation Jewish people do not work on Shabbat (Friday night to Saturday)
What do Orthodox Jews believe about God as the creator ?
They believe that every detail in the Torah regarding creation is true and that God literally created the world in 6 days.
What do Reformed Jews believe about God as the creator?
Reformed Jews believe that details in the Torah regarding creation are not meant to be taken literally and that the most important thing is to understand that God is responsible for creation.
