A
A covenant is a promise between 2 people or 2 groups of people

A
God made a covenant with Abraham when he told him to leave his current land and to go to a place that he would show him. In return God promised to give many descendants and make him the father of nations.

All Jewish Boys are circumcised: “you shall be circumcised through the flesh of your foreskin, this will mark the covenant between you and I”
