What’s the law of continuity?
The more consistent and predictable a child’s care, the better the quality of their future attachments
What are social releasers?
A term aimed at babies by Bowlby. Babies according to him born with a instead cuteness displaying behaviours such as smiling and cooing in order to win affection and activate the adult attachment system.
Why is the monotropic theory socially sensitive?
Because it would lay all the blame for their child’s future behaviour at the mother’s feet even if it’s likely more complicated than it seems.

A questionnaire put into a local newspaper meant for people currently in a relationship. It both evaluated the quality of their current relationship and then determined what their early childhood attachment was.
