What external factors can affect organizations’ performance?
Politicy and legal entrants, demographic problems, economic problems, socialcultural problems, technology development problems and overall global issues like COVID-19.
What’s the sharing economy?
Companies that share the business thought peer-to-peer service, for a set fee, like uber.
How can external factors impact jobs and employment?
Economic downturns result in higher unemployemnet and external factors can affect on the number of jobs available.
How can external factors impact environment uncertainty?
Environments differ in their amount of uncertainty. If an environment changes frequently is a DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT, if not, it’s a STABLE ENVIRONMENT.
What’s organizational culture?
Is the shared values, principles, traditions and ways of doing things that influence the way organizational members act.
How is organizational culture normally transmitted?
Through corporate rituals (repetitive sequences of activities), material symbols or artifacts (dress code, furnishings, size of offices, …) and laguage (acronims, unique terms to refer to something, corporate language)
Explain ready-aim-fire and ready-fire-aim cultures.
In ready-aim-fire cultures , managers analyze and study any situation before comminting to it; in ready-fire-aim cultures, managers take actions and then analyze what has been done afterwards.
What’s the difference between an authoritarian leadership and a democratic leadership?
In an authoritarian leadership the leader had full power and tells the group what to do; in a democratic leadership the leader balances deciosion-making between the group and the leader themselves.
