Use active transport and diffusion to gain as much of the valuable materials, as possible
ESPECIALLY SUGAR

How do villi help increase absorption?
A
They have a large SA (squashed up)
They are moist
They are very close to a large network of capillaries
(Absorbed straight into the blood stream)

Tiny protrusions in the intestine which help to absorb the products of digestion
