Why did the industrial revolution begin in Britain?

A
  1. Population Explosion (fewer famines, medical discoveries, fewer plagues, Edward Jenner)
  2. Increased trade(raw materials from colonies)
  3. New farming methods (crop rotation)
  4. Plentiful supply of coal and iron ore
  5. New inventions (spinning Jenny, James Hargreaves)
