- devolved bodies have been able to work successfully due to the different electoral systems

A
The ‘reserved matters’ model of government had been used in Scotland and allowed it to make laws on anything not ‘reserved’ for Parliament at Westminster.

impact of political parties
A
- coalitions allowed more governments to work more effectively
- allowed more people to exercise political power and be able to express, politically, what they believe in

impact on voter and voter choice
A
- different use of electoral systems allows more people to express their political opinions and have more of a chance to see the people get in
- higher voter turnout
- HOWEVER = due to complexity of the systems, voter turnout has also decreased
