• Surgery was developed to a high degree in the Islamic world. Abulcasis (Abu al-Qasim Khalaf ibn al-Abbas Al-Zahrawi) physician & scientist, wrote medical texts that influenced European surgical procedures.

Avicenna (Ibn Sina) introduced repositions of broken vertebrae, treatment of eye disease.
