The acetabulum of the pelvic bone and the head of the femur
What movements occur at the hip joint?
Adduction, abduction, flexion, extension, internal (medial) rotation, external (lateral) rotation and circumduction
What ligament if formed by the bridging of the acetabular labrum inferiorly across the acetabular notch?
Transverse acetabular ligament
Where does the ligament of the head of the femur attach on femur and pelvic bone?
Fovea of the head of the femur and acetabular fossa
Which three ligaments reinforce the external surface of the fibrous membrane, stabilising the hip joint?
Iliofemoral, pubofemoral and ischiofemoral ligaments
