A

Mao believed sparrows, flies, rats, mosquitoes eating crops was the reason for low agricultural output and so mass killing them would solve this

The consquences of the great leap forward

A

Mao took a passive role from 1962-67 with his policies being open critised. Between 1958-62 betweeen 15 million and 55 million people died.
