The sun and the moon (Proximity)

-The Moon is moving away from the Earth two inches a year.
•The moon & the earth would have been touching less than 2 billion yrs. ago.
•The moon could never have been closer to the Earth than 11,500 miles or Earth’s gravitational force would tear the moon to pieces.
•If the moon was as close as 50,000 miles the tides would rise one mile high & would increase erosion of the land & at current erosion rates the continents would have been eroded flat in just 14 million years.

• Did you realize that the earth & the moon are collecting space dust at a regular rate. If the moon is 4.5 billion yrs. old would be more than 54 ft. deep.
• There is about 1-3 inches, about what would be there after 8,000 yrs.
• Moon rocks brought back from the moon were found to contain Thorium 230 (half life of 75 thousand yrs.) Uranium 236 (half life of 23.4 million yrs.) & Neptunium (half like of 2.1 million yrs.)

The sun and the moon (the young earth Paradox)

•The sun is losing mass & has been decreasing by about 0.01% per century. It’s losing energy all the time.
•Evidence supports the sun’s power comes from the fusion of hydrogen into helium in it’s core. This causes a problem, as the hydrogen fuses, it should change the composition of the core, gradually increasing the sun’s temperature. If this is true the earth would have been colder in the past, 3 billion yrs. Ago the earth would have frozen, when life was supposed to be evolving.
-This rate of fusion depends on temperature and as the sun’s core temperature increases so does the brightness causing the sun to be brighter over time. Calculations show that the sun would have been 25% brighter after 3.5 billion years. And this means it would have been fainter in the past and the Earth much colder/ below freezing in the past.
•Scientists call this the faint young earth paradox!
•Perhaps the sun, moon and the earth just aren’t all that old!
