Created Hamiltons finical plan to deal with post war debt, wanted to make America creditworthy, not debt-free.
Hamilton’s Financial plan
Wanted to make America creditworthy, not debt-free. consolidated all loans together and financing through bonds. Thought state debts should be assumed by national government.

Assumption of state debts
Under Hamilton’s financial plan, he thought the national government take over and pay off all the debt that states had, meaning each state would have to pay equal tax to government.
Whiskey Rebellion
A tax put on all spirits and farmers felt targeted because they relied on crops such as corn, rye, and grain to earn a profit. When farmers tried to rebel, George Washington stopped rebellion with 13,000 troops and proved/showed government power.
Federalist Party
A conservative and nationalist American political party and the first political party in the United States. It dominated the national government under Alexander Hamilton (never pres.)
Republican Party
Democratic-Republican Party from a combination of former Anti-Federalists and supporters of the Constitution who were dissatisfied with the Washington administration’s policies.
Federalists views on French Revolution
Wanted to side with Britain to preserve trade.

Wanted to side with France. Thought ideas of democracy were spreading to Europe and France was following in their footsteps.
