Q

Explain the design argument.

A

William Paley looked at the watch and the human eye and said that they are too complex to have just appeared by chance. He then looked at the universe and said that it must also have a designer as it is finely balanced and complex. Therefore they only person with that power is God.

Q

What are the problems with the design argument?

A

Why can people be hurt by this creation is the designer is so loving. Therefore the designer must be cruel as they didn’t want a perfect world or the designer is incompetent so didn’t know how to create the perfect world. All fof these are against what people believe God is.
