- Wanted those who were not noble to be able to become Bishops
- Were prepared to give up financial privileges
- Wanted catholocism to remain the dominant religion of France

- Wanted merit over birth
- Prepared to give up financial privileges

Wanted voting by head

15th June - because the Third Estate wanted to verify deputy credentials
When was the Tennis Courth Oath and what did they proclaim?
20th June - that they would not disband until France were provided with a constitution

Declared it illegal

- Not to impose tax without the consent of the representatives
- Introduction of freedom of press
- Abolition of the Gabelle

22nd June - 4000 troops
What was Louis’ solution to dealing with the N.A. and why did it fail?
Prepared to dissolve them by force however failed when there was a public revolt in Paris
