A

They primised to provide the funds and troops requested by Congress, treat citizens of other states fairly and equally, and give full faith and credit to the public acts,r ecords, and judicial proceedings of every other state

A

Congress did not have the power to tax, it could only raise money by borrowing and asking states for funds.

Congress didn’t have the pwoer to regulate trade between the States

A

It brought the nation’s political turmoil into sharp focus. States often bickered with one another and did made deals with foreign governments even though it was not allowed in the Constitution

What happened at Mt. Vernon?

A

Maryland and Virigina who had many trade disputes, decided to meet, against Congress’s wishes. They were invited to George Washington’s house. There, they decided to resolve disputes over the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. It was so successful, they decided to invite all states to resolve econ. disputes
