What is direct democracy?
It is where people have a direct say in the laws that are passed

It is where people have a say in the government through their representatives

WHat is a dictatorship?
It exists where those who rule cannot be hled responsible tot he will of the people.
What is an autocracy?
It is a governmetn in which a single person holds the ultimate political power
What is an oligarchy?
A government in which the power to rule is held by a small, usually self appointed elite
What are the characters of the tendencies?
They are totalitarian. The leaders exercise complete control over human life
What do dictatorships often present the outward appearance of?
Control of the people. The people often vote in popular elections
What is a unitary government?
It is often described as a centralized government. All powers held by the government belong to a single, central agency. The local governments only have powers that are given to them by the central government.
What is an example of a unitary government?
Great Britain
What is a federal government?
The pwowers of government are divided between a central government and several local governments.
Who makes the division of power in a central government?
An authority superior t both the central and local governments
