The repetition is used to convey the image of an army marching.

The Light Brigade knew that the orders were suicidal, but they follow them anyway for their own safety against the Leader showing the honour of the whole battle.

The repetition is used to imitate the sound of the gunfire arrayed amongst the charging Light Brigade. This quote is later repeated in the poem but instead the Light Brigade are retreating.

Euphemism used to conceal the fact that misconduct of orders were sent causing the defeat of the Light Brigade.

After every stanza, this line is repeated showing the nobility of every individual member of the Light Brigade.

The use of rhyme and repetition portrays a heroic image of the cavalry.

An imperative is repeated leaving the reader that they should honour their bravery.

Turning point of the charge happens here. Furthermore, the repetition of ‘not’ shows that the Light Brigade wasn’t all alive.

The soldiers knew that this place was going to lead to them dying but yet they charged into it.
“Into the valley of Death”
The place is connoted as a monster metaphorically to foreshadow the upcoming tragedy of the soldiers.
“Into the jaws of Death, Into the mouth of Hell”
