- Their rounding of cows took less time now.
Why was the change in their work negative?
It led to less cowboys being needed, so many lost their jobs and their lives became much more controlled.
How did traditional cowboys act before open range ranches?
After long cattle drives, cowboys would use their salary to:
- Drink
- Gamble
- Use prostitutes
They also often caused problems for the law.
In what ways were lives of cowboys now controlled?
- Cowboys now lived in bunkhouses on ranches all year and not freely on the Plains.
