Q

What does the fluid mosaic model consist of?

A
17
Q

What is the structure of the nucleus?

A

The nucleus is surrounded by a double membrane called the nuclear envelope. Inside the chromatin appears speckled. The heterochromatin appears dark – it is more condensed and is gene-poor and is found round the periphery of the nucleus. The nucleolus is where ribosomes are assembled. The ribosomal genes are clustered on multiple chromosomes but are clustered in one location within the cell.
