Name three things that blood plasma transports.
A
- Carbon dioxide to the lungs.
- Soluble products of digestion from the small intestine.
- Urea from the liver to the kidneys.

What do RBC’s contain, and what do they use this for?

Haemoglobin, which is combined with oxygen to form oxyhaemoglobin in the lungs.

What happens when oxyhaemoglobin reaches the organs?
A
It splits up back into haemoglobin and oxygen.

A
A nucleus.

A
Help the blood to clot.

What does blood-clotting involve?
A
- Blood clotting involves enzyme-controlled reactions.
- Fibrinogen changes to fibrin.
- Fibrin forms a network of fibres that trap blood cells.
- The clot dries and forms a scab.
