Manuscript speaking

A

Speaking occurs when the speaker reads the speech from a printed manuscript.

  • This comes in handy when the words are vital or when the speaker is a prominent person who’s every word will be scrutinized
  • Drawbacks-we do not write like we speak. If the speech is written down there is little room for the speaker to engage and respond to the audience. What would the speaker do if you lost to speech.
