The peace of Amiens and renewed war with Britain, 1802-05

France agreed to leave the United provinces, Naples, and the Papel states in return for a number of British withdrawals:
- all overseas territories taken by Britain in the past nine years which returned to the French.
- Egypt was to be returned to the text
- Britain would keep Sri Lanka and Trinidad
- he said not last as neither side fully on its terms, in May 1803 Britain declared war again.
