What Pre-Use checks should be conducted on all items of TME prior to use?

A

Before Use;

  • TME has a certified MOD Form 731 (Equipment Conditioning Label) attached.
  • Item has an appropriate valid conditioning label attached.
  • If applicable, has an unbroken integrity seal in place.
  • It is not damaged in any way that may affect its accuracy.
  • If any of the above is applicable, TME must be quarantined and TMEC informed.

Under which circumstances shall all items of TME be removed from service?

A

Invalidation of Calibration;

Any TME shall immediately be removed from service and labeled accordingly that;

  • Is outside its designated calibration period.
  • Has failed in operation.
  • Is suspected or know to be outside its designated limits.
  • Shows evidence of physical damage that may affect its accuracy.
  • Has a broken integrity seal.

  • MOD 1775A/B/C Valid Calibration
  • MOD 1776A/B/C Limited Calibration (yellow stripe).
  • MOD 1777A/B/C Unit Level Test (green stripe).
  • MOD 1778 Calibration Not Maintained (blue stripe).
  • MOD 1779 Unserviceable (red stripe).
  • MOD 1780 Calibration Not Required (all white with red lettering).
  • MOD 1781 and MOD 1781A Integrity Seal (all white with black lettering).
