A: extends forearm at elbow joint
Triceps brachii
Origin: long head originates from infraglenoid tubericle posterior of humerus
Insertion: olecranon of ulna
Action: extends forearm at elbow joint; supinates and pronates forearm at radioulnar joint to neutral postion
Supinator
O: lateral epicondyle
I: lateral surface of proximal 1/3 of radius
A: supinates forearm at radioulnar joint
Extensor Capri radialis longus
O: lateral epicondyle of humerus
I: second metacarpal
A: extends and abducts hand at wrist
Extensor carpi radialis brevis
O: lateral epicondyle of humerus
I: 3 metacarpal
A: extends and abducts hand wrist
Extensor digitorum
O: lateral epicondyle of humerus
I: distal and middle phalanges of each finger
A: extends distal and middle phalanges of each finger at interphalangeal joint proximal and had at wrist
Extensor digiti minmi
O: lateral epicondyle of humerus
I: tendon of extensor digitorum on 5th phalanx
A: proximal phalange of little finger at metacarpal joint and hand at wrist
Extensor carpi ulnaris
O: lateral epicondyle
I: 5th metacarpal
A: extends and adducts hand at wrist and wrist joint. Ulnar deviation
Lumbricals
Flex each finger at metacarpophalangeal joints and extend each finger at interphalangeal joint
Palmer interossei
Adduct and flex each finger except middle at metacarpophalangeal joints
Dorsal interossei
Abducts finger 2-4 at metacarpophalangeal joints
