Origin: distal, anterior surface of humerus
Insertion: ulnar tuberosity and coroniod process of ulna
Action: flexes arm at elbow
Biceps brachii
Origin: supraglenoid tubericle(long head), short head originates from coracoid process of scapula
Insertion: radial tuberosity of radius
Action: flexes forearm at elbow, supinate a forearm at radioulnarjoint, flexes arm at shoulder
Brachioradialis
Origin: lateral border of distal end of humerus
Insertion: superior to stupid process of radius
Action: flexes forearm at elbow supinate sand probated forearm at radioulnar joint to neutral postion
Pronator teres
Origin: medial epicondyle oh humerus and coroniod process of ulna
Insert: distal portion of shaft of radius
Action: probated forearm at radioulnar joint and weakly flexes forearm at elbow joint
Probate Quadratus
Origin: distal portion of shaft if ulna
Insert: distal portion of shaft of radius
Action: pronates forearm at radioulnar joint
Flexor Capri radialis
Origin: medial epicondyle of humerus
Insert: 2&3 metacarpal
Action: flexes and abducts hand at wrist (radial deviation)
Palmer longus
Origin: medial epicondyle
Insert: flexor retinaculum and Palmer aponeurosis
Action: weakly flexes hand at wrist joint
Flexor Capri ulnaris
Origin: medial epicondyle
Insert: pisiform hamate and base of 5 metacarpal
Action: flexes and adducts hand at wrist (ulnar deviation)
Flexor digitorum superficialis
Origin: medial epicondyle
Insert: middle phalanx of each finger
Action: flexes middle phalanx of each finger at proximal interphalangeal joint, proximal of each finger at metacarpophalangeal joint and hand at wrist joint
Flexor pollicis longus
Flexes thumb
Flexor digitorum profoundus
Action: flexes distal and middle phalanges of each finger at interphalangeal joints, proximal phalanx of each finger at metacarpophalangeal joint and hand at wrist
Abductor pollicis brevis
Abducts thumb
Opponens pollicis
Brings thumb over for opposition
Flexor pollicis brevis
Flexes thumb
Adductor pollicis
Adducts thumb
