Sinus headache
Deep, constant, throbbing, pressure like, in one specific area of face or head
Face tender to touch
Occurs with or after cold, acute sinusitis, or acute febrile illness with purulent discharge from nose
Cluster headache
Stabbing pain, may be accompanied by tearing, eyelid drooping, reddened eye or runny nose
Sudden onset, may be precipitated by ingesting alcohol
Tension headache
Dull, tight, diffuse
No prodromal stage, may occur with stress, anxiety or depression
Migraine headache
Accompanied by nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to noise or light
May have prodromal stage
May be precipitated by emotional disturbances, anxiety or ingestion of alcohol, cheese, chocolate or other foods
Prodromal stages of migraine
Visual disturbances, vertigo, tinnitus, numbness of fingers or toes
Tumor related headache
Aching, stead, neurological and mental symptoms as well as nausea and vomiting
No prodromal stage
May be aggravated by coughing, sneezing or sudden movements of the head
Hypothyroidism
Sleepiness
Cold intolerance
Weight gain
Muscle aches
Fatigue
Menstrual irregularities
Pale, dry skin
