A ship that went from NY-London with 2,000 people on board. It was sailing the coast of Ireland when hit by Germans and the ship was destroyed. Over 200 Americans died and the ship was supposedly carrying weapons to Britain (illegal for cruise ships to carry)

Women took mens job such as working in factories, mail carriers, and barbers. When the men came home they took their jobs back but the women did not want to go back to house work
