What does the Anterior Drawer test, screen for? And what movement is it?
test for injury to ACL: lie supine, flex hip 45 degrees and knee 90 degrees with foot on table, pull lower leg up with stabilizing foot
What does the Posterior Drawer test, screen for? And what movement is it?
test for PCL (posterior cruciate ligament), supine with hip 45 degrees and knee 90 degrees, stabilize foot and push lower leg inward
What does the Lachman test, screen for? And what movement is it?
tests for ACL tear, place outer hand on lower leg below knee and inner hand above knee and pull lower leg anteriorly
What does the Valgus stress test, screen for? And what movement is it?
tests for medial collateral ligament injury; supine and relaxed, hold the ankle of the patient and apply pressure to outer knee inward
What does the phalens Test, screen for? And what movement is it?
test median nerve pathology, typically carpal tunnel syndrome; hold back of hands together, pointed to floor
What does the Neer Test, screen for? And what movement is it?
tests for supraspinatus impingement, while stabliziing scapula have patient point up with arm straight and hand flat
What does the drop arm Test, screen for? And what movement is it?

tests for lateral collateral ligament injury; supine and relaxed, hold the ankle of the patient and apply pressure to inner knee outward
