responding to chemicals (chemoreceptor - A sensory nerve cell or sense organ, as of smell or taste, that responds to chemical stimuli)
De-
decrease (desaturation - decreased levels of oxygen in the arterial blood)
Hyper-
increased or excessive (hyperinflation - excessive inflation of the lungs)

infection (brochitis - inflammation of the brochial tubes)
Mechano-
responding to movement (mechanoreceptor - sensory receptors that respond to mechanical deformation of tissue such as compressing, stretching, etc.; for the respiratory system these are found in the pulmonary apparatus and chest wall)

specialist (pulmonologist - a medical doctor who specializes in diseases of the lungs and respiratory tract)

pertaining to the oral cavity (oropharynx - division of the pharynx that extends from the level of the velum to the level of the hyoid bone; the pharyngeal region posterior to the oral cavity)

state of disease (tuberculosis - a bacterial infectious disease characterized by ulcerations and the formation of cavities in the lungs; accompanied by cough and fever)
Pneumo-
pertaining to the lungs (pneumonia - lung inflammation that is secondary to infection or other causes such aspiration)
Sclera-/sclero-
scar, plaque (multiple sclerosis - an aquired, degenerative, demyelinating disease of the central nervous system)

abnormal or pathological state (dyskinesia - impairment of voluntary movements resulting in fragmented or jerky motions)
