Ovaries
Are the female gonads or sex glands. Two ovaries, one on each side of the uterus, in the upper portion of pelvic cavity
Releases hormones estrogen and progesterone also developed and released mature eggs
Afterbirth
The placenta and other tissues that are expelled after the delivery of the fetus
Placenta separates from the uterine wall
Amniotic sac
A thin transparent membrane that forms a sac that holds the fetus suspended in amniotic fluid
Bag of waters
Amount of amniotic fluid in sac ranges from 500 milliliter to 1000
Sac tears at the onset of labor (water breaking)
Antepartum
Period of pregnancy prior to the onset of labor

Bloody show

Period time of from onset of labor to delivery of infant
