Feed
A stream of information that we receive from partners which contains their adverts. Feeds are received using the following methods: crawler, URL, FTP, CSV, or API
API
Stands for “Application Programming Interface.” An API is a set of information that the partner provides us so that our tech guys can make requests to their database for information about their ads and then convert that information into a feed which we then display on Mitula.
CSV
Stands for comma separated values. Usually a spreadsheet which contains information about many adverts. The partner updates it regularly and our tech department then configures it to display the content as adverts on Mitula.
Compressed/ Zipped
A method with which file sizes are reduced and disk space can be saved. Often used for bulk files and large feeds. Any file that ends in one of these is compressed: gz, rar, zip, tz
Tracking code/ UTM
A code added to the end of a url in the feed which points to the source of the click (i.e the source being for example Mitula or Nestoria and type of campaign). partners use these to track the traffic and measure the performance or each campaign.
KPI
Key Performance Indicator. A measurement of the success of your product and of the work you do on the product.
Discriminante/Discriminator/Segregator
Usually a specific tag on the feed that the Production department use to discriminate between different types of ads on a single feed and publish them separately. For example if a feed contains ads for more than 1 country they would use the tag to discriminate between ads from the different countries
Fallo de descarga/ Download failure
When we try to download a feed and there is a problem that prevents the download. The production department will email the partner with details. If the partner doesn’t repsond to the Production team’s email we have to get in touch.
Cuenta Padre (CRM)
If a partner has content in several countries, its “padre” account is the one for the country where the feeds are managed from and the company’s headquarters are located in.
