CPC
cost per click
Crawler
Travels around the web (or crawls) locating and indexing websites’ content for search engines. All the major search engines, such as Google and Yahoo! use spiders to build and update their indexes and so does Mitula but we call them “crawlers”
Snippet
A small section of text that google takes from your website to display in search results.
Meta description tag
html attributes that provide precise descriptions of the contents of a website. IMPORTANT FOR CLICK THROUGHS!
ODP
On device portal. For example Mitula app for mobile.
Anchor text
Text that appears underlined as a link. Very important for Googlebot indexing pages.
Trafico organico/organic traffic
Traffic that comes to a site as a result of unpaid search results.
Impulsado
A partner’s feed is given a push by Mitula to receive more traffic. The Impulso is calculated by the Marketing Department.
Restado
A freemium partner that has a lot of ads but doesn’t pay and as a result the visibility of their content on Mitula search results is reduced by Marketing Team.

A feed that has not changed the number of adverts it contains (30 days for non paying sites. 7 days for paying sites.)
Head tail search
A search with only a couple of keywords. Not specific. e.g. “houses London”
Long tail search
A more specific search with more details, e.g: “Two bedroom maisonette with swimming pool bristol area”.
Mitula specialises in these!
Hadoop
A program we can apply to certain partners which stops the download of their feed if we detect that the number of adverts has changed significantly from one day to the next. By default it is set to 20% or higher but you can adjust it. It is applied as standard for paying partners and has been used for big/ important partners who have tech issues with their feeds or fluctuating ad numbers.
Landing Page
The page that a user is directed to when they click on an advert from Mitula
