A

Once a determination of objectives and standards has been made, and instructor formulates a plan of action to lead students through the course in a logical manner towards the desired goal.

Q

Overview

A

Every lesson introduction should contain an overview that tells the group what is to be covered during the period

A clear, concise preseveration of the objective and the key ideas gives the student a road map of the route to be followed

Q

Develoment

A

Development is the main part of the lesson the instructor develops the subject matter in a mannor that helps the student achieve the desired learning outcomes

The instruction must logically organize material to show the relationship of the main points in one of the following ways:
Past to present
Unknown known
Simple to complex
Most frequent to least used

Q

Conclusion

A

An effective conclusion retraces the important elements of the lesson and relates them to the objectives.

This review reinforces leaning and improves the retention of what has been learned

New ideas should not be introduced in the conclusion because is will likely confuses the student

Organize the lesson material into a logical format maximize the opportunity for students to retain information

Q

Cooperative or group learing method

A

An instructor strategy which organizes students into small groups so that they can work together to maximize their own and each other’s learning most significant charactericits of group learing’s is that is continually requires active preparation or the student in the learning process
Instructors need to plan early to determine what the student group is expected to learn and do

Students perceptions or targeted objectives as their own personal objectives

The opportunity for student success

Student access to and comprehension

Sufficient time for learning

Q

Guided discussion method

A

An educational presentation typically used in the classroom where the topic is to be clear by a group is introduced and the instructor participates only as necessary to keep the group focussed on the subject

The guided discussion method relies on the student possession of a level of knowledge about the topic to be discussed, either through reading prior o class or a short lecture to set up the topic to be discussed

The goal of the guided discussion is to draw out what the student knows
The instructor acts as a facilitator to encourage discussion between students
In the guided discussion develops, the instructor may ask follow up questions to guide the discussion

15
Q

Demonstration-performance method

A

In an educational presentation where an instructor first shows the correct way to perform an activity and then has the student attempt the same action

16
Q

Demonstration-performance method (4 phases)

A

Explanation
Demonstration
Student performance with instructor supervision
Evaluation

17
Q

Explanation

A

The explanation phase is accomplished prior to the flight lesson with a discussion of the lesson objectives and completion standards through the preflight
Explanation must be clear, pertinent to the objectives and based on the known experience level of the student
Instructors should encourage students to ask questions about any step of the procedure that they do not understand

18
Q

Demonstration

A

The instructor must show students the actions necessary to perform a skill. As little extraneous activity as possible should be included in the demonstration if students are to clearly understand that the instructor is accurately performing the actions previously explaned

19
Q

Studnet performance and instructior supervision phase

A

These 2 phases involve separate actions that are performed concurrently. The first of those phases is the student’s performance of physical or mental skills that have been explained and demonstrated then second activity is the instructor supervision

20
Q

Telling and doing technique

A

The demonstrated-performance method can be applied to telling-and-doing technique of flight instruction in 3 steps

21
Q

3 steps of telling-and-doing technique

A

Instructor tells-instructor does
Student tells-instructor does
Student tells-student does

22
Q

Instructor tells-instructor does

A

In instructor gives a carefully planed demonstration of the procudre or maneuver with accompaying verbal explanation while demonstrating the maneuver the instructor should explain the required power settings, acft attitudes and describe and other pertinent factors that may apply

23
Q

Student tells-instructor does

A

The student tells as the instructor does the student actually plays the roll of the instructor, telling the instructor what to do and how to do it

24
Q

Student tells-student does

A

This is where learning takes place and where performance habits are formed. If the student has been adequately prepared and the procedure of maneuvers fully explained and demonstrated meaningful learning occurs

25
Q

Computer based trainning (CBT)

A

Is any education that involves a electronic component such as the internet,a network,a stand alone computer,DVD, website in devilry

26
Q

3 types of Elearning

A

Computer assisted learning (CAL)
Computer assisted instructing (CAI)
Computer based training (CBT)

27
Q

Computer assided learing

A

Couples the educational use of the with multimedia software to create a training devise

28
Q

Computer Assisted Instruction

A

Instruction in which the instructor is responsible for the class and uses the computer to assist in the instruction

29
Q

Computer Based training

A

The use of the computer as a training devise. CBT is sometimes called Computer based instruction(CBI), the times and acronyms are synonymous and may be used interchangeably
