How is this checklist performed?
When is it triggered?
Student does it by heart, then reads it after taxiing up to the holding point.
It’s triggered after the taxi briefing.
In what configutarion must the acft be when moving it on the ground?
Nav lights ON
Taxi lights ON
What do we do if the wind is strong during taxi?
Strong headwind: control column placed for neutral pitch and ailerons upwind (direction from which the wind is coming)
Strong tailwind, pitch down and airlerons downwind
What do we do in each intersection?
A standard callout saying either
“clear left/ahead/right” or “with the traffic left/ahaed/right in sight” in each direction
specially important at hotspots
Response to callouts:
“clear” or “in sight”
What’s the normal RPM for taxiing?
1000 ROM
Normal conditions: IDLE POWER on even surfaces
Not allowed to control taxi speed by continuously applying wheel brakes
