If the engine failure occurs after take-off (in training > 500 ft AGL), what are the SP’s actions?

1. Max power (mixtures, prop levers and throttles forward)
2. Check gear and flaps up
3. Adjust pitch to maintain V

At DA/H call out:

Minimum

No visual contact

Answer 3

• Call out: we go around
• Pitch up 5º
• Max power (26.8’’ / 2388 RPM) on operative engine
• Positive ROC: gear up
  (If positive, rate cannot be established, descent must be stopped)
• Climb with 84 KIAS to minimum acceleration altitude prior to level off
