Q

Difference between RNAV and RNP

A

RNAV simply says you should be on course.

RNP says you should be on course, monitors and alerts you when there’s a problem.

(RNAV-1 and RNP-1 have the same accuracy, but RNP alerts you if you go outside tolerances.)
