Tactic/compositional strenghts Flashcards
Why was the routine being fast paced a strength
engage auidence, stimylate cns- adrenaline- impact on RT)
Fast passed routine:
One key strength of this dance performance is that its fast paced,
maintains high energy levels and engages the audience throughout-
Fast paced routines stimulate the central nervous system , increasing the release of adrenaline which enhances reaction time- vital for quick, sharp movements in dance
Why was the choice of music a strength
(drive theory, effect of a stimuli)
Good choice of music- The choice of music complements the choreography and style well,
which enhances the overall impact of the performance.-
It supports the drive theory, where stimuli can heighten arousal further motivating performers.
Why was musicality and timing a strength (4/4)
(synchronisation, flow, trasnfer of learning- sequcnes become automatic
The song used follows a 4/4 time signature meaning there are 4 beats per measure
Musicality and timing- the dancers demonstrate excellent synchronisation with the beats- enhance the aesthetic quality and flow of the performance. This reduces the risk of movement errors and supports positive transfer of learning, as practiced sequences become more automatic.
Why was partnering a strength
(depth, teamwork, cohesion, feedback)
Partnering-
the inclusion of partner work adds depth to the performance, showcasing teamwork, coordination, and spatial awareness.
This enhances group cohesion, leading to improved communication and synchronised execution.
The effectiveness of partnering relies on intrinsic feedback (kinaesthetic sense) and extrinsic feedback (visual cues from partner) to allow them to be in sync.
