What is high molecular weight allergic occupational asthma?
Caused by proteins and polysaccharides and makes up 80-90% of cases of occupational asthma. It is IgE dependent
What is low molecular weight allergic occupational asthma?
The mechanism is poorly understood but it isn’t dependent on IgE
What is RADS
Reactive Airways Dysfunction Syndrome. It develops within hours of being exposed to the irritant
What is the difference between acute and subacute non-allergy asthma?
Acute includes RADS and it has a quick onset. Subacute requires multiple exposures

A naturally occurring poison produced by living cells or organisms
What is the definition of a pollutant?
A substance that contaminates the environment
What is the difference between primary and secondary vehicle exhaust pollutants?
