Similarities:
- Both distal radius (metaphysis) fractures
Differences:
- Colle’s = dorsal displacement and angulation; caused by FOOSH
- Smith’s = volar displacement and angulation; caused by fall onto hand when wrist is flexed

Communication between fracture and outside world (fracture in which bone penetrates the skin)

- Resuscitation with IV fluid/blood products
