What are the diagnostic criteria for AKI?
A
- Rise in serum creatinine >26 micro mol/L in 48 hours
- Rise in serum creatinine >50% in 7 days
- <0.5ml/kg/hour of urine for last 6 hours

What is the definition of nephrotic syndrome?
A
- Significant proteinuria (>3g/24 hour)
- Low albumin (<25g/L)
- Peripheral oedema

What are the causes of nephrotic syndrome?
A
Most common causes by age group:
- Children = minimal change disease
- Adults = membranous nephropathy
- Elderly = focal segmental glomerulosclerosis
