T-6B Limits Flashcards
Takeoff / Max torque:
100%
IDLE torque limits:
1 to 10% (ground). Allowable torque range with Np stabilized and PCL at IDLE.
Transient torque limits:
132 MAX (20 sec). Torque at 132% is a materials limit above which damage to the engine may occur. Torque above 102% is indicative of a system malfunction.
ITT limits. Takeoff / MAX:
820 degrees C, max for TAKEOFF/MAX
ITT limits. IDLE:
750 degrees C, max at IDLE
ITT limits. START:
871-1000 degrees C (5 sec)
ITT limits. TRANSIENT:
821-870 degrees C (20 sec)
N1 limits. Takeoff/Max:
104% Max
N1 limits. IDLE:
60% to 61% (ground). 67% min flight
N1 limits. TRANSIENT
104% Max
Np limits. TAKEOFF / MAX
100% Max. With PMU OFF, permissible maximum Np is 100+/-2%.
Np limits. IDLE
46% to 50% (ground)
Np limits. TRANSIENT
110% (20 sec) Permissible at all powers for completion of in-flight emergency.
OIL Pressure limits. TAKEOFF/MAX:
90 to 120 psi. Normal oil pressure during steady state conditions is 90 to 120 psi. Operation at oil pressure less than 90 psi at flight idle or above is indicative of oil system malfunction.
OIL Pressure limits. IDLE:
90 psi Min
OIL Pressure limits. START:
200 psi Max
OIL Pressure limits. TRANSIENT:
40 to 130 psi. Operation in this range permitted only during aerobatics of spins, and 15 to 40 psi for 5 seconds with PCL at IDLE.
OIL Temp limits. TAKEOFF/MAX:
10 to 105 degrees C.
OIL Temp limits. IDLE:
-40 to 105 degrees C (Gnd), 10 to 105 (Flt), 106 to 110 - acceptable for ground operation at and below 20% torque.
OIL Temp limits. START:
-40 degrees C Min
OIL Temp limits. TRANSIENT:
106 to 110 degrees C (10 minutes)
