Only authorized for performance limited takeoffs
When are secondary engine parameters automatically displayed?
- When DU is initially powered on
- In flight when engine start lever is moved to cut off
- In flight when engine fails
- When a secondary engine parameter is exceeded
When is the reverse thrust level able to transition from idle detent to detent 1 and further to detent 2
Idle detent - When forward thrust lever in fully in idle position
Detent 1 - When thrust reverser reaches 60% deployment
Detent 2 - When thrust reverser reaches a fully open state
Beyond detent 2 is available only for non normal applications
Engine starter malfunctions
No N1 indication before start lever is raised to IDLE
No oil pressure when engine stabilizes
No increase in EGT within 15 SEC of selecting start switch to IDLE
No or little increase in N1 or N2 after EGT indication
EGT rapidly approaching or exceeds the start limit
What is Max and Min Oil QTY
Max 19 quarts
Min for dispatch 13 quarts
Min for ETOPS dispatch 18 quarts
Engine warm up recommendations
Run engines for at least 2 min prior to takeoff
Use thrust settings normally used for taxi
Engine cool down recommendations
Run engine for at least 3min before shutdown
REVERSER annunciator light time limit
12 sec
