Emergency Briefing CPT/FO

A

CPT:
In the event of a rejected takeoff, I will call REJECT and, close the Thrust Levers and disengage Autothrottles, apply Maximum Braking, deploy Speed Brakes and Reverse Thrust, stop the aircraft. Once stopped, I will set the Parking Brake, stow the Speed Brakes, command the applicable Checklist, advise the Flight Attendants and Passengers.

FO:
I will monitor the Speed Brake, Reverse and Autobrake operation, advise ATC, Call 60kts, Standby to initiate the Checklist as commanded.

Emergency Briefing PM/PF

A

PF:
In the event of an engine failure or fire after V1, I will continue the take-off, rotate normally at Vr.

PM: I will call positive rate.

PF:
I will call gear up, climb to flap retraction altitude, call engine fire, engine severe damage or engine seperation QRC at a safe altitude, Call Bug up, retract flaps on schedule, call maximum continuous thrust, call level change, climb at VM to 1500 ft, Call QRC reference items or the Engine Failure or Shutdown Checklist.

A
  • Take off alternate in OFP
  • RVR 600 training completed by flight crew
  • PIC has 100hrs on WestJet aircraft
  • High intensity runway edge lighting
  • High intensity runway centerline lighting AND markings
  • TLR ensures single engine climb gradient
  • Means of ensuring runway clear of obstacles at uncontrolled airports
