Describe OFG in a pt friendly manner
Uncommon condition that causes persistent swellings in lip/face/mouth
The cause is unknown but may be an immunological/allergy to foods
Investigations are required as presentation can be similar to crohs disease
Symptoms of OFG
Lip/face swelling
Dry red skin
Painful bleeding gums
Ulcers (may lost a month)
Pain worse with spicy/hard foods
What is Crohn’s disease
Inflammatory bowel disease
Inflammation in digestive tract
- Abdominal pain
- Severe diarrhoea
- Fatigue
- Weight loss/malnutrition
