Cerebellar cognitive affective syndrome

A

-damage to the cerebellum
-impaired executive function, spatial cognition, language processing, and emotional regulation

Disconnection Syndrome

A
  • When the white matter connections between regions are damaged
  • Examples: conduction aphasia, pure alexia, callosal disconnection syndrome

A
  • Inability to repeat but can produce language without issue
  • Due to damage to arcuate fasciculus
  • Often a result of left MCA stroke
