Synchronised Cardioversion - Indications (5)
A
- Unconscious (LOC = P or U)
- Rhythm SVT or VT
- Haemodynamic compromise
- > /= 16yrs: HR > 160
- 1 to < 16yrs: HR >180

A
- Patient LOC = A or V
- <1year of age
- ECG indicates sinus tachycardia, rapid AF, atrial flutter

Synchronised Cardioversion - Complications (4)
A
Consider unconscious SVT mimickers with hypotension ie:
- hypovolaemia
- anaphylaxis
- sepsis
- tension pneumothorax
Additionally, adult HR of 260 is likely to be SVT whilst an adult HR of 160 may be SVT but more likely a mimicker
