Cutaneous infections (Primary infection or spread of pulmonary infection) Mycetoma (Painless, chronic infection, primarily of feet, localized subQ swelling and suppuration and formation of sinus tracts) Lymphocutaneous infections (Cutaneous nodules and ulcerations along lymphatics, chronic ulcerative lesions, subQ abscesses and cellulitits)
Neisseria Meningitidis Sympoms
Abrupt onset of headache, fever, stiff neck
Young children have fever and vomiting
Thrombosis of small blood vessels (blood clots)
Small, petechial lesions (small pinpoint rash)
Vibrio Cholerae Symptoms
Abrupt onset of vomiting and watery diarrhea
Feces- streaked stool changes to rice-water stools (colorless, odorless, no protein, speckled with mucus)
Campylobacter Symptoms
Actue enterocarditis (Diarrhea, malaise, fever, abdominal pain, sel-limiting)
C. jejuni (gastroenteritis in US)
C. coli
Bacteremia (C. fetus)
Helicobacter pylori Symptoms
Gastritis (inflammation of stomach lining)
Nausea, vomiting, Indigestion, abdominal pain, burning sensation in stomach
UTI Symptoms
Painful urination
Bladder doesn’t feel empty
Cloudy urine
>1,000 bacteria/ml or 100 coliforms/ml of urine
Symptoms of Cystitis
Dysuria (Painful, urgent urination)
Pyuria (Leukocytes/WBCs in urine)
Pyelonephritis Symptoms
Fever Flank or back pain Bacteremia Urmeia (Urine in blood) Kidneys scar if chronic and impair function

Watery diarrhea
Vomiting
Non-bloody stools
Enterotoxigenic Coli (ETEC) Symptoms

Abdominal crampls 3-4 days later
