EMER DEPRESS
o Located on Pressurization System Panel, top right in flight deck (guarded)
o Used to depressurize cabin during an emergency
o Pressed in, both outflow valves open fully to dump cabin pressure
o At cruise, valves dump cabin pressure to 14,250 ±750 feet
o On light (amber) illuminates when pressed in and EICAS displays EMER DEPRESS caution message
RAM AIR
o Located on the Air Conditioning Panel, upper right of flight deck below the Pressurization System Panel (guarded)
o Used when both packs have failed.
o Provides ambient air to the left conditioned air (cockpit) supply duct
IGNITION CONT
o Located in the Starting Ignition Panel, to the right of the Ignition switch lights, labeled CONT
o Illuminates white when pressed in manually or automatically nearing a stall
o CONT IGNITION status (white) message displayed on EICAS
GROUND LIFT DUMPING
o Located above Thrust Reverser Switches
o AUTO, MAN ARM, MAN DISARM
RTU INHIBIT
o Located in the Backup Tuning Unit, above transponder selector knob
o Allows a failed RTU to be cross tuned - RTU1, RTU 2
ARINC FAN
o Located on the Avionic Cooling Fan Selector Panel, bottom left of flight deck. Above the Parking Brake, below the Stab Trim buttons
POWER TRANSFER OVERRIDE
o located on the Auto Deploy Panel, at the bottom right of the center pedestal, to the right of the ADG manual deploy handle
o When pressed, de-energizes the AC emergency, DC emergency and 3B hydraulic contractors if the power has been restored to the main AC bus. Provided the ADG manual deploy handle has been stowed. (QRH Vol. 2 EMER 9-2)
o Used if a generator has been reset after complete AC power loss
ADRP (Air Data Reference Panel)
o This is the panel where the RA test, and BARO knob are located
DCP (Display Control Panel)
o This is the panel where the navigation source knob as well as the format/range knob is located
ECP (EICAS Control Panel)
o The 4 mechanical buttons are PRI, STAT, CAS, STEP, located on the center pedestal
AUDIO WARNING
o located on Audio Warning Panel to the right-hand side of the aircraft by the first officers right arm (guarded)
o Manually disables the selected DCU audio warning upon failure
o DISABLE light (White) illuminates when disabled
Utilize the aural alert PowerPoint and have the applicant identify the stab trim runaway aural alert, and two others of your choice.
- Stab trim runaway - Clacker
- Overspeed - Chirper
- Stall condition - Warbler
- Fire bell - Fire bell
- Autopilot disengage - Cavalry charge
- Landing gear not down - Horn
- Warning message - Triple chime or voice alert
- Altitude alert - C-chord
- Caution message - Single chime
