How did capitalism support social darwinism?
A
The survival of the fittest theory indicated that certain people became powerful in society because they are better. Social Darwinism was used to justify racism and social inequality at various times in history. The belief left no room for empathy for a character like Curley who would be considered a natural order of things due to his father owning that land.
